While San Diego Comic-Con gets its proclaim from graphic novels, the annual matter has transformed into something much greater than before in the subsequently few years. Trailers and huge announcements have become commonplace at SDCC, subsequently this year including the upcoming Halloween movie from Blumhouse. And it did not disappoint. though the fandom was eager to see Jamie Lee Curtis' additional tally of Laurie Strode, the additional personal ad made one matter clear: Michael Myers is taking no prisoners, and is nevertheless the matter of nightmares.
The additional Halloween personal ad opens subsequently a long shot of Michael Myers, presumably after his run off from Smith's Grove Sanitarium. put up to home in Haddonfield, we watch as the iconic killer brings revolution and death put up to to the sleepy Illinois town.
One matter that Jamie Lee Curtis hammered home during Halloween's comic-con panel is that Michael is a living, walking, random battle of violence. The additional personal ad footage just that, as he wandered not far off from Haddonfield, seemingly picking additional victims on a whim. He goes from home to house, dispensing death and mercy for dull reasons.
The scene opens subsequently a wave to John Carpenter's indigenous Halloween movie. After bumping into a few trick-or-treaters and scaring the crap out of them, Michael wanders into the backyard of an dull Haddonfield resident. Grabbing a hammer from the garage, he slowly and critically begins entering homes, and murdering their residents subsequently his typical brutality.
Michael's use foul language is brute and shocking, although you shouldn't expect the gorefest that Rob Zombie brought subsequently his two Halloween remakes. His first murder in the personal ad happens just off camera, allowing disturbance to be credited with on the other hand of brute unnecessarily bloody. But subsequently you finally see Michael understand in the works a butcher knife and stab a victim, it's unlike any of his myriad kills from the previous films. As a hardcore horror and Halloween fan, even I was shocked. And you should have heard the audience wave in Comic-Con's Hall H.
But Michael wasn't the single-handedly badass in the trailer. Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie Strode has been waiting 40 years for her invader to return, and spared no expense. She's got a giant weapon cache, floodlights, and a declare of the art security system. though this likely won't end Michael from getting in and meeting his sole unshakable victim face-face, Laurie is nothing subsequently the helpless youngster we met in the original. She's not a victim, and she's not going alongside without a fight.
In addition to a additional trailer, Halloween next debuted a astonishing additional Michael-centric personal ad that some fortunate fans will be able to understand home from Comic-Con. You can check that out below.
Blumhouse's Halloween will arrive in theaters on October 19th. In the meantime, check out our 2018 release list to scheme your next-door trip to the movies.
